With Halloween around the corner you’re probably already considering your autumn party plans. Whether your hosting at home for the kids, or thinking about evening drinks for the grown ups. Here are our Kitchen Design Features that can make your party even more enjoyable for both you and your guests!

With this in mind we’ve come up with three improvements you should consider when transforming your home to ensure more enjoyable parties when hosting in your kitchen.

1: Ovens

Cooking is of course a big part of any party, whether its heating up some quick and easy pizzas or going the extra mile and practically cooking a feast for your guests there’s no doubt you could do with an extra pair of hands. Well, we can’t give you that but what we can suggest is considering an extra oven in your kitchen design. This will allow you to efficiently multitask cooking without having to juggle with meal prep. It also adds a fantastic wow factor to your space, being a great functional feature that you’ll wish you would have thought of sooner.

2: Islands

Another feature that would be a great addition for you when hosting is a kitchen island. More worktop space means more space to prepare food, more space to lay out dishes and more space for guests to sit around. If you’ve got the room for one, an island can add an interesting element to your kitchen, creating a more engaging environment than just working on the side while your guests and family sit around the dining table.

Additionally, another thing you might want to consider is having your island as a working island; an island that has either or both a sink or induction hob on it. A working island is perfect if you plan on doing lots of prep on your island or just want to save some worktop space around the side of the room.

This previous project had the following kitchen design features; ample worktop space, bespoke lighting, island space, practical open shelving and hidden storage.

3: Lighting

Ambient lighting is another thing that can take your parties to the next level. If your someone who loves a bit of drama and ambience when hosting, lighting can be the perfect way to achieve that. Especially at a Halloween party when dim lights and feature lighting are king. There are many ways to incorporate interesting lighting into your kitchen design, under cabinet lighting being one of them. Not only is this tasteful kitchen design feature practical, allowing you to better see what your preparing in the evenings but adds an ambient soft lighting feel when the main lights are switched off. Paired with glass door cabinets with lights inside, we think this is the perfect evening lighting.

One more great kitchen design feature you may want to consider is colour changing LED lights that you can control via a remote, definitely the perfect party lighting and mood setter! You can just imagine the party starting, the lights being dimmed and suddenly you turn on the LED lights, turning the room red, orange or green as your perfect spooky Halloween evening is about to start!

We hope these points have given you your much needed inspiration for your new kitchen and helped you envision what elements can help make hosting in the future even more spectacular!
